AI don't know what I'm doing.

I used to have so much to say. Then I stopped. And then, seemingly overnight the noise of the world became deafening. I’d correlate that directly to my iPhone – which I both love and hate. I’m writing because I believe (and I’m surely not the only one) that our smartphone devices have the power to lift us but also, destroy us. It’s addictive yet, useful. Every time I insert my ear pods the voice of a woman boldly announces (sometimes THREE times), “CONNECTED” as I DISconnect from my environment and create my own soundtrack to reality. I could probably write this better with AI. Not my words carefully crafted from my own mind, my own thought process but technology taking my points and rapidly whipping up an entire well-written article. I’d save some time which I could then use to scroll on social media where I’m bombarded with marketing.  Or maybe go for a walk. Or maybe sell something.

Summary
This reflective piece explores the paradoxical influence of smartphones on daily life, expressing both the benefits and drawbacks of constant connectivity. The author highlights how technology can simultaneously empower and overwhelm, noting the ease with which personal expression can be replaced by artificial intelligence and how digital distractions often replace authentic experiences. The narrative underscores a tension between embracing technological convenience and yearning for genuine, mindful presence in the modern world.

Thank you, Copilot.

I tend not to share much of my experience anymore knowing that the experience is going to change anyway.
